I am in love with their chilaquiles!! I order them with ranchero sauce because the regular way they come is too spicy for myself and trigger my acid reflux but I do have a sensitive tummy.
Out of the three times I've been here, I've never had bad service and we have had the same kind and professional waitress twice. Everyone makes you feel welcomed and very at home kind of feeling. The portions are huge! Do not be scared to share or take some home with you :) I recommend this place a ton! Looks super clean and well looked after. I haven't visited on a weekend so I'm not sure how crazy it gets but the times I've been during the week have always gone smoothly and without errors on my meal orders. Oh! The coffee is "Cafe de Hoya" just the way my grandmother used to make it!

When it comes to Mexican food, Chile Verde (the green sauce) is my most favorite. Add some tender pork, tortilla and/or rice then I'm all set. Dining here at Chalio's might have ended my search for the special sauce. The right flavor, the right spiciness and all the other emotions in between.

I'm not embarrassed to say I dined here two times in a row. Dinner on the first try and lunch the following day and ordered the same thing on those 2 days to make sure that my senses aren't fooling me. Haha. The sauce was spicy and flavorful and the pork is very tender. I dipped my corn tortilla and chips on that sauce and slathered it all over the rice. I didn't care for the beans so I just left that alone and enjoyed every bit of my meal.

Service is hit or miss. The first try was a miss, we had to hunt for somebody just to get our drink orders down but the second visit was better. Communication is a challenge too, a lot of them do not speak very good English but they sure do try to accommodate you. Just be patient with them and for sure you'll get a great meal in exchange. Definitely worth going again if I'm in the area and craving their Chile Verde.

The decor was very nice. Looking at the ladies making the tortillas was cool.  We shared the molcajete with shrimp was amazing. The costillas de puerco was so tender. Definitely a place to go. We will definitely be back.

    - this place used to be great before they remodeled. Ever since they've opened up the new version of chalios the management has been crappy and the food mediocre. It's like they bit off more then they could chew. They spent money on looks, but didnt seem to hire enough staff to support their growth.
Today, my family went to the restaurant, around noon, which as a business you know you will be busy during this time so you should staff accordingly, which they did not. My family's meal took a long time to come out, a hair was found in the chips, one person was half way done with their caldo before they got the limes they asked for in the beginning, and my sisters chile rellenos were frozen! That's about as disappointing as it gets. On top of that, the server had to apologize to our table for how long it was taking, due to her also having to help cook the food! We are sad/disappointed to say we will no longer be eating here and I truly hope they get their s*** together... side note: they refunded my sisters meal. It should of been the whole check, in my opinion. I can forgive a mistake in the kitchen, but good customer service is a must.

This place is great! We moved to Fort Worth 6 months ago and we were having a hard time finding an authentic Mexican restaurant. This place was exactly what we were looking for. The service was great! We will definitely keep coming. The tortillas remind me of home.
